# uwait

> uwait is a free browser and IDE extension that pays you for the seconds you already spend waiting for AI assistants to answer. While the model is generating its response, one small native ad fills that idle moment, and the winning bid is split in real time between you and the web sources the answer cites.

uwait works with ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Mistral, Copilot, DeepSeek and Grok. The ad never blocks, delays or covers the answer: it lives only in the few seconds you were already waiting. Prompts and answers are never read or sent: ad selection is contextual and privacy-safe, and no personal data is required or sold.

How it works, in four steps: you ask any AI tool a question; while the model "thinks", a real-time auction runs for that single wait-time slot; the highest-bidding advertiser's native ad slides in next to the answer; you get paid for the view, and so do the cited sources. Every winning bid is split transparently: 50% to the user, 30% to the sources cited in the AI answer, 20% to the platform.

Available as a browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and as an IDE extension for coding assistants (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity). Free for users; advertisers can start from about 1 EUR of funding, with no contract and no lock-in.
